ESTATE PLANNING

Estate Planning includes developing a plan for how assets will be handled and divided after death. This can include:

determining what family members, charities and other beneficiaries will share in the estate

establishing who will be the key decision makers as Executor, Personal Representative and Trustee

making arrangements for the care of children, such as guardianships and trusts to protect money

reducing or eliminating estate taxes

arranging for efficient non-probate administration after death

providing special arrangements for special beneficiaries or assets

coordinating beneficiary designations for life insurance and retirement plans

An Estate plan also includes arrangements for a sudden illness or incapacity such as Financial Power of Attorney, Health Care Power of Attorney, Living Will and HIPAA Waiver.
